Police have launched an investigation after registering an FIR against a named suspect accused of attempting to sexually assault a 13-year-old boy who had attended a Muharram gathering in Chakwal.
A 13-year-old boy was allegedly subjected to an attempted sexual assault after attending a Muharram gathering in Chakwal, prompting police to register a case and begin an investigation.
According to police, the minor had gone to listen to a Majlis at around 8 p.m. on the night of 9 Muharram along with his two brothers. The FIR states that a young man from the Tattral area allegedly forced the child to a deserted location and attempted to sexually assault him.
The alleged assault was reportedly interrupted when a motorcycle rider approached the area, causing the suspect to flee the scene, according to the contents of the FIR.
City Police registered a case on the complaint of the victim’s father against the named suspect and have initiated an investigation. Authorities said efforts are underway to apprehend the accused and determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
