Police say the 14-year-old victim is out of danger after being rescued, while two suspects have been arrested and efforts continue to apprehend another accused.
SARGODHA: Police have registered a case and arrested two suspects after a 14-year-old boy was rescued following an incident in the jurisdiction of Jhal Chakian Police Station, according to a spokesperson for Sargodha Police.
District Police Officer (DPO) Sargodha has taken notice of the case and directed officers to ensure a thorough investigation and legal action against those found responsible.
According to the police, the incident is linked to an earlier allegation involving the minor. Authorities said the child was later found in a pit with soil covering parts of his body. He was rescued safely and is reported to be out of danger.
Police confirmed that two nominated suspects are in custody, while raids are continuing to arrest a third suspect.
The spokesperson said investigators are collecting evidence and that all those found responsible will be prosecuted in accordance with the law. The investigation remains ongoing.
