22 Terrorists Killed in North Waziristan as Security Forces Launch Massive Crackdown

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Inter-Services Public Relations said security forces carried out a major counter-terrorism operation in the Shewa area of North Waziristan, killing 22 terrorists during an intense clearance mission on Tuesday.

According to the military’s media wing, the operation targeted militants involved in multiple terrorist attacks across the region. Security personnel also recovered a significant cache of weapons and ammunition from the slain militants, described by officials as foreign terrorists operating inside Pakistan.

The ISPR revealed that the militants attempted to use local civilians as human shields during the operation, complicating the security forces’ advance. Despite the difficult conditions, troops successfully neutralized the terrorists and secured key areas in Shewa.

Military officials confirmed that a follow-up clearance operation remains underway to eliminate any remaining threats and secure the region completely. The operation is part of Pakistan’s broader counter-terrorism campaign being conducted under the national strategy of “Azm-e-Istehkam.”

Meanwhile, Shehbaz Sharif praised the armed forces for what he called a highly successful operation against terrorism. He commended the professionalism and courage of the troops, stating that Pakistan’s armed forces continue to stand like a “steel wall” against militant violence.

The prime minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to eliminating terrorism from the country, saying ongoing counter-terrorism efforts are producing significant progress under Pakistan’s national security framework.
