Syed Asim Munir on Tuesday delivered a strong message on Pakistan’s security priorities during his visit to Quetta Garrison, warning that the country must remain fully prepared for the rapidly evolving challenges of modern warfare.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, the army chief addressed officers and faculty members at the Command and Staff College, where he described the institution as a hallmark of professional excellence, advanced military training and intellectual growth.
Munir urged military officers and troops to continuously adapt to emerging technologies, multi-domain operations and changing battlefield dynamics. He stressed that maintaining operational superiority and professional competence had become increasingly important amid shifting regional and global security challenges.
“The maintenance of high standards of professional excellence, preparedness and operational superiority is a requirement of the time,” he said.
During his visit, the army chief also interacted with officers and troops deployed across Balochistan and praised their morale, commitment and operational readiness.
Reaffirming the military’s resolve against militancy, Munir said Pakistan’s armed forces, backed by public support, remained determined to eliminate terrorism from the country. He added that propaganda campaigns, fake news and externally sponsored terrorism would not derail Pakistan’s progress or destabilise the state.
The army chief further highlighted that long-term peace and stability in Balochistan depended on inclusive development, better governance and public welfare initiatives. He appreciated the efforts of the provincial administration aimed at improving socioeconomic conditions and strengthening trust between citizens and the state.
According to ISPR, Munir was received upon arrival in Quetta by the Corps Commander Quetta.
