New anthem blends pop and traditional sound as PSL 11 countdown begins in Pakistan
Lahore: The Pakistan Super League unveiled its official anthem for Season 11 on Wednesday, featuring celebrated singer Atif Aslam alongside Aima Baig, the Sabri Sisters and Dania Kanwal, blending modern pop with traditional vocals under the theme “Khelein Ge Bat Pe.”
The launch took place at a glittering ceremony in Lahore attended by players, officials and entertainment figures. Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi welcomed guests as anticipation built for the upcoming season. The highlight of the evening was the official unveiling of the PSL 11 trophy, signaling the formal countdown to the tournament.
Organizers said the anthem aims to reflect Pakistan’s cultural diversity while energizing fans ahead of a highly competitive season. The collaboration merges contemporary music styles with classical influences to create a unifying sound for cricket supporters across the country.
According to officials, PSL 11 will be staged across Karachi and Lahore from March 26 to May 3 under a compressed schedule designed to intensify matches and fan engagement. The two-city format is expected to deliver fast-paced action and packed stadiums throughout the tournament window.
