Family members of seven-year-old Muntaha have expressed skepticism over reports that the prime suspect in her rape and murder case was killed in a police encounter, as calls for transparency and justice continue to intensify.

According to reports, Muntaha had left her home to buy snacks but never returned. After an extensive search, her body was allegedly discovered, leading police to detain suspects linked to the shop where she was last seen.
The case took a dramatic turn when reports surfaced claiming that one of the key suspects was killed in an encounter by the Crime Control Department (CCD) while being transported to court. However, the news has been met with skepticism from both Muntaha’s family and members of the public.
Speaking to local media in Sargodha, Muntaha’s uncle questioned the authenticity of the encounter reports.
