From Sargodha to Faizabad: Dramatic Police Operation Ends 8-Month-Old Baby’s Kidnapping Mystery

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

An intensive police operation spanning Sargodha, Rawalpindi, and Islamabad led to the safe recovery of an eight-month-old abducted infant and the arrest of four suspects after four days.

SARGODHA: Police in Sargodha have safely recovered an eight-month-old infant who was allegedly abducted from Bhagtanwala four days ago, following an extensive investigation that stretched across multiple cities and resulted in the arrest of four suspects.

According to police, the case began after a citizen called the Police Helpline 15, reporting that his eight-month-old grandson, Haris, had allegedly been kidnapped by neighbors from Abbas Colony in Bhagtanwala. A criminal case was immediately registered, and on the instructions of District Police Officer Muhammad Sohaib Ashraf, a special investigation team was formed to recover the child and apprehend those responsible.

Investigators combined modern forensic techniques with traditional policing methods, analyzing footage from 436 CCTV cameras while tracking the suspects’ movements. Police said the suspects switched multiple vehicles and turned off their mobile phones in an apparent attempt to evade detection.

The investigation eventually led authorities to Islamabad, where officers searched 59 hotels and guest houses over three days and carried out intelligence-based raids in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. The suspects were ultimately located at Prince Hotel in Faizabad.

Police rescued the infant unharmed and arrested one man and three women allegedly involved in the abduction. The child has since been reunited with his family.
