International bullion prices climbed sharply, driving gold and silver rates higher in Pakistan’s local market as investors continued to seek safe-haven assets.
Pakistan’s gold prices climbed again on Saturday after a fresh rally in the international bullion market pushed precious metal rates higher worldwide. The increase in global prices was quickly reflected in the country’s local bullion markets, where both gold and silver recorded notable gains.
According to market data, the international price of gold rose by $24 per ounce to $4,018 after a brief pause in recent gains. The stronger global trend lifted domestic prices, with 24-karat gold increasing by Rs. 2,400 per tola to reach Rs. 424,236. The price of 10 grams of gold also advanced by Rs. 2,057, settling at Rs. 363,713.
Silver followed the same upward trajectory. In international markets, silver gained 41 cents to $55.91 per ounce. Locally, silver prices increased by Rs. 41 per tola to Rs. 6,070, while 10 grams rose by Rs. 36 to Rs. 5,204.
Market analysts said the latest gains were driven by continued strength in the global bullion market, where economic uncertainty, currency movements and sustained demand for safe-haven assets continue to support precious metal prices.
Gold prices in Pakistan generally move in line with international market trends while also reflecting fluctuations in the Pakistani rupee and domestic market conditions. As a result, changes in global bullion prices are typically passed on to local consumers and investors.
