KP ministers held an open public forum in Nowshera, assuring residents that recruitment for vacant tube well positions, maintenance funds, and key public health issues would be addressed on a priority basis.
Nowshera: Senior members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government held an open public forum in Nowshera to hear residents’ concerns, with officials pledging early action on public health, water supply, and infrastructure-related issues.
The session was chaired by Provincial Minister for Public Health Engineering Fazal Shakoor Khan, Provincial Minister for Minerals Arif Ahmadzai, and Provincial Adviser for Agriculture Mian Muhammad Umar Kakakhel. Citizens representing various segments of society participated in the forum and presented their concerns directly to the provincial leadership.
During the meeting, Mian Muhammad Umar Kakakhel highlighted several key issues facing the district, particularly those related to the Public Health Engineering Department. These included the provision of clean drinking water, drainage problems, the release of maintenance and repair (M&R) funds, the transfer of old TMA Nowshera tube wells in PK-88 to the Public Health Engineering Department, and the recruitment of staff for vacant tube well positions.
Responding to the concerns, Provincial Minister Fazal Shakoor Khan assured participants that, in line with the directives of Chief Minister Suhail Khan Afridi, approval for recruitment against all vacant tube well positions would be granted within the current year. He also said that M&R funds would be released soon, while other public demands would be reviewed in detail and resolved on a priority basis.
Provincial Minister Arif Ahmadzai also listened to public grievances during the forum and reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to taking practical measures to address the challenges raised by residents.
