Petrol Price Cut by Rs2.20 Per Liter as Government Announces New Fuel Rates

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Pakistan cuts petrol and high-speed diesel prices, offering consumers limited relief amid elevated fuel costs.

ISLAMABAD: The government has reduced the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel, offering motorists some relief as new petroleum product rates take effect for the specified period.

According to the notification issued by the government, the price of petrol has been cut by Rs2.20 per liter, bringing the new price to Rs327.62 per liter.

The price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has also been reduced by Rs1.50 per liter. Following the adjustment, diesel will now be available at Rs380.86 per liter.

The latest revision applies to the prices of petroleum products for the prescribed period, with the government periodically reviewing fuel rates in line with relevant pricing considerations.

Petrol and diesel prices have a direct impact on transportation costs and household budgets in Pakistan. Changes in fuel prices can also influence the cost of goods and services because of their effect on freight, public transport and other operating expenses.

While the latest reduction provides some relief to consumers, the impact will depend on how long the lower prices remain in effect and how petroleum prices are adjusted in subsequent reviews.
