Come, let’s sit and talk. A bullet is not the solution to any problem. There is no justification for picking up a gun under the guise of grievances. The present and future of Pakistan and Balochistan will always remain one. Those who are willing to correct their path should be welcomed. National progress is impossible without the progress of Balochistan. This is the “thinking” and “approach” we need. The government and the military have now moved forward together. Now there is no room left for conspirators, facilitators, or terrorists._
Friday, *August 21, 2026*, was dedicated to Balochistan in Pakistan.
Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif addressed the Balochistan National Workshop. Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, federal ministers, members of parliament, leaders of various political parties from Balochistan, and notables attended the session.
The hallmark of this gathering was that PM Shehbaz Sharif personally listened to the participants’ questions and answered them directly.
Addressing the workshop, the Prime Minister said: _“Behind the terrorism in Balochistan are Fitna-al-Khawarij and proxies funded by hostile countries. The government, together with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, is constructing the Karachi-to-Chaman N-25 Highway. The federal government has allocated Rs. 415 billion for this project. This is the money of the people of all four provinces being spent on Balochistan. All of this is for the people of Balochistan.”_
PM Shehbaz Sharif stated clearly: _“Picking up a gun under the cover of grievances is unacceptable. What happened in the past is in the past. Now we must hold a grand dialogue with issues on the table. If our daughters and sons are willing to correct their path, they should be welcomed.”_
On that same blessed Friday, *Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir* also met with prominent personalities and political leadership of Balochistan.
According to ISPR, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir said: _“The present and future of Pakistan and Balochistan will always remain one. We will defeat the enemy’s designs through decisive action. There is a need to confront enemy propaganda comprehensively and without hesitation, to expose false narratives, and to highlight the true potential, progress, and aspirations of Balochistan and its people. Balochistan is the land of talented, steadfast, patriotic, and dignified people. Fitna-al-Khawarij and Fitna-al-Hindustan are proxies operating under foreign patronage. Enemy elements are using them to destabilize Balochistan, obstruct its development, and create a rift between the state and the people. These enemy designs will be defeated through the collective resolve of the nation and the state’s unwavering, determined, and decisive actions.”_
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir also appreciated the role of Balochistan’s prominent figures and social leaders in promoting peace, strengthening social harmony, and advancing constructive national dialogue.

Balochistan has never needed this as much as it does today. The encouraging thing is that the civilian government and the military establishment are now on the *”same page”* regarding this crucial issue. This very unity and consensus bothers the enemy. The enemy has inflicted many wounds on the heart of Balochistan and does not want peace there under any circumstances. But the good news is that the government and the military have now jointly blocked the path of terrorists.
How important Balochistan is to us can be gauged from the fact that the government has focused all its attention on the development and prosperity of Balochistan.
22,000 agricultural tube wells in Balochistan have already been converted to solar energy. Rs. 70 billion has been spent on the solar project, with Rs. 40 billion contributed by the federal government. At the time of the NFC Award announcement, the federal government increased funding by 100%. Punjab is providing Rs. 11 billion annually to Balochistan. Danish Schools are being established in 9 districts of Balochistan. Rs. 200 billion has been allocated for Balochistan in the PSDP, compared to Rs. 70 billion for Punjab. During the tenure of former PM Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, 650 km of roads were built in Balochistan.
These are just a few of the government’s projects that can be immediately cited. Apart from this, the role the military is playing in the construction and development of Balochistan is no secret either.
The point is simple: The civilian government and the military establishment have now resolved that every hand raised against the development and prosperity of Balochistan will be broken. This is the resolve and direction that was needed, is needed, and will continue to be needed.
Through their words and actions, Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir have proven that Balochistan is truly the jewel in Pakistan’s crown. And this handful of terrorists cannot harm it.
