Eighteen years ago there was a young boy who had never spent a single night in another city. He grew up in south Waziristan lower Tehsil Azam Worsak a place very different from the rest of the world, isolated, conservative and far behind in opportunities. The world beyond it was unknown almost unimaginable.
He wasn’t even eighteen. Yet, to be eligible to travel and work abroad without parental sponsorship he changed his age on his passport. He had no clear idea where he was going what awaited him or how life would unfold. All he carried with him was hope and one name.
On 25 January 2008 he arrived in Abu Dhabi and joined the same company his father had joined in 2003 the company where his father lost his life in 2006. The call to join came from the same owner with one intention to fulfill his father’s unfinished dream that his son would study grow and build a future while working with the same organization.
From the very first morning the journey began.Today he completes 18 years with the same company more than half of his lifetime. Eighteen years of consistency loyalty struggle, learning and silent perseverance.
The journey was never easy. But it became a school of life. It taught him to trust himself before expecting trust from others to believe in his own strength to shape his character and to build a professional identity from the ground up.
As life moved forward, he grew and so did the company. While words may fall short in explaining where the company stands today one truth remains unshaken he is proud to be among the few who helped build it, brick by brick through dedication and resilience.
This journey transformed him deeply. Living and working among diverse communities reshaped his beliefs and mindset It taught him tolerance respect and understanding for every religion ideology culture and language. It softened rigid thoughts and replaced them with empathy and perspective.
Even today he remains part of the same company. It feels unreal that 18 years have passed that a boy from Waziristan has grown into someone shaped by experience responsibility and perseverance. He gained a lot knowledge growth stability but the cost was heavy.
