Pakistan will confer its highest civilian honor, the Nishan-e-Pakistan, on the Presidents of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan during their official visits, highlighting the strengthening ties between Pakistan and Central Asian nations. President Asif Ali Zardari will personally present the awards at Aiwan-e-Sadr, accompanied by state banquets attended by federal cabinet members, parliamentarians, diplomats, and other dignitaries.
President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, arrived at Nur Khan Airbase on 3 February 2026, marking his first state visit to Pakistan. He was welcomed by President Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, with children dressed in traditional attire waving the national flags of both countries. Tokayev’s delegation included senior cabinet ministers and officials.
During his visit, President Tokayev is expected to engage in high-level talks with Pakistan’s leadership, address the Pakistan-Kazakhstan Business Forum, and explore collaboration on trade, logistics, regional connectivity, and cultural exchanges. Discussions will also focus on enhancing cooperation in regional and international forums, reflecting a shared commitment to peace, development, and stronger bilateral relations.
The conferment of the Nishan-e-Pakistan on both leaders symbolizes friendship and mutual respect, transforming historic and cultural affinities into practical partnerships for regional stability and progress.
