Citizens urged to use DLIMS portal amid temporary suspension of commercial driving tests
ISLAMABAD — The Islamabad Traffic Police announced the temporary suspension of practical driving tests for Heavy Transport Vehicles (HTV), Light Transport Vehicles (LTV), and Public Service Vehicles (PSV) at the Police Lines Headquarters in H-11 this week due to administrative reasons.
According to the statement, the suspension will affect candidates seeking commercial driving licenses, potentially causing delays in obtaining them. During this period, practical driving tests at the Police Lines Testing Center will not be available.
Citizens have been advised to use the DLIMS online portal for guidance and updated information. The portal provides complete procedures for obtaining a license, booking appointments, test schedules, and the status of submitted applications.
Authorities emphasized that holding a valid driving license remains mandatory in the federal capital, and traffic law enforcement continues rigorously. Recent months have seen special campaigns aimed at curbing traffic violations, with fines and legal actions strictly enforced against unlicensed driving.
For further details on testing schedules and appointments, citizens can contact the Islamabad Traffic Police helpline at 1915 or visit the official licensing website.
