Indonesia Proposes Diplomatic Role to Ease Middle East Tensions

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Indonesia has offered to mediate in the growing tensions involving Iran Israel and the United States, while also expressing support for Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates. According to a report by Bloomberg Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto is seeking to play a diplomatic role in reducing tensions in the Middle East.

The report noted that many Muslim majority countries agree on the need to prevent the conflict from spreading across the region. However Indonesia’s government policy regarding the Iran crisis has faced criticism within the country.

President Prabowo Subianto has been criticized domestically over the government’s response to the situation, particularly regarding the delayed condolences expressed after the reported death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. A major religious organization in Indonesia has also urged the government to review its policy on the issue.

Amid increasing pressure President Subianto warned that Indonesia could withdraw from the peace board established by Donald Trump if it fails to benefit the Palestinian people.

According to state media the Indonesian president made these remarks during a meeting with more than 160 Islamic scholars emphasizing that Indonesia joined the initiative to advance the cause of an independent Palestinian state.
