ISPR says intelligence-based operations in Harnai and Basima dismantled militant hideouts, recovering weapons and explosives
Pakistan’s security forces killed 15 terrorists during intelligence-based operations in Balochistan, the military’s media wing said on Saturday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted a targeted raid in the Harnai district after receiving actionable intelligence about the presence of militants. During the operation, troops eliminated 12 terrorists described as Indian-sponsored members of the outlawed group Fitna al-Khawarij.
In a separate operation in Basima, three more militants affiliated with the banned organization Fitna al-Hindustan were killed after an exchange of fire with security personnel.
The ISPR said weapons, ammunition, and explosive materials were recovered from the dead militants. Clearance operations are continuing in the surrounding areas to ensure no remaining threats.
According to the military statement, the killed terrorists were involved in multiple acts of terrorism targeting civilians and security forces in the region.
“Pakistan will not allow terrorists operating under foreign direction to find shelter in the country,” the statement added, reaffirming the military’s resolve to eliminate militancy.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for the successful operations, commending their courage, professionalism, and swift action. He said the troops had effectively foiled the militants’ “nefarious designs” and appreciated their continued efforts against the outlawed groups Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij.
