Officials say Hajj preparations are continuing normally and the full flight schedule will be released after Eid-ul-Fitr.
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs on Sunday dismissed circulating reports claiming that Hajj flights for 2026 had been suspended due to rising tensions in the Middle East, calling the information misleading and baseless.
A spokesperson for the ministry clarified that preparations for the upcoming Hajj operation are continuing as planned. Authorities have not taken any decision to suspend or delay Hajj flights for Pakistani pilgrims.
Officials said the complete Hajj flight schedule will be announced shortly after Eid-ul-Fitr. The ministry is currently finalizing logistical arrangements, including accommodation and transport facilities for pilgrims in Makkah and Madinah.
The spokesperson urged intending pilgrims to avoid relying on unverified information circulating on social media. Instead, they should follow official updates released through the government’s website and the Pak Hajj mobile application.
Authorities expressed confidence that all operational arrangements for Hajj 2026 will be completed on time, ensuring a smooth journey for thousands of Pakistani pilgrims traveling to Saudi Arabia.
The ministry reiterated its commitment to keeping the public informed through official channels and ensuring transparency throughout the Hajj process.
