According to CNN the Trump administration has been filing one or more complaints against media organizations on a daily basis. The report claims this move reflects growing frustration within the administration over unfavorable coverage of the situation.

Trump has repeatedly labeled sections of the media as criminal and unpatriotic intensifying tensions between the White House and journalists. Meanwhile, Brendan Carr head of the Federal Communications Commission and a Trump appointee has reportedly warned broadcasters that their licenses could be at risk if they fail to comply with regulations.

Senior political analyst David Axelrod suggested that the administration appears to be targeting those reporting on the war rather than addressing criticism directly.

CNN further reported that when faced with tough questions regarding the conflict Trump often dismisses them as fake news. The situation highlights escalating friction between the U.S. government and media institutions during a sensitive geopolitical period.
