CDA’s Sudden Move Sparks Concern as Rawalpindi Tube Wells Ordered Shut Immediately

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

CDA’s Islamabad Water Directorate has revoked the NOC issued to WASA Rawalpindi for tube wells operating along Islamabad Expressway, raising concerns about potential disruptions to water supply in nearby areas.

ISLAMABAD: A significant development in the region’s water management system has raised concerns among residents after the Capital Development Authority (CDA) revoked the No Objection Certificate (NOC) previously granted to WASA Rawalpindi for operating tube wells along Islamabad Expressway.

According to official sources, Islamabad Water, a subsidiary of the CDA, issued a notification cancelling the NOC for WASA-operated tube wells located on the service road from Faizabad to Koral Interchange. The notification directs WASA Rawalpindi to immediately halt operations of the affected tube wells.

CDA officials stated that following the cancellation of the NOC, the tube wells are no longer authorized to operate. The installations had been playing an important role in supplying water to several localities situated around Islamabad Expressway.

While the authority confirmed the decision, it did not disclose detailed reasons behind the revocation. Relevant departments have reportedly been instructed to ensure immediate implementation of the order.

The move has sparked speculation about possible disruptions to water availability in areas dependent on these tube wells. Residents and stakeholders are now awaiting further clarification regarding alternative arrangements and the long-term impact on water distribution.
