Hamza Shehbaz visited PIMS, met an affected mother and offered condolences to families following the tragic nursery ward fire.
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President and former Punjab chief minister Hamza Shehbaz visited the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) on Thursday and expressed condolences and sympathy to families affected by the recent nursery ward fire.
During his visit, Hamza met an affected mother and offered prayers and condolences over the loss of children in the tragic incident.
“May Allah Almighty grant the children who have passed away the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous,” Hamza said, adding that no words or expression of sympathy could lessen the grief of the bereaved parents.
He said the tragedy was a wound that had been felt by the entire nation.
“May Allah Almighty restore happiness to the grieving families and grant them the strength to bear this loss,” he said.
Hamza also visited the affected nursery ward at PIMS, where the executive director and senior doctors briefed him on the incident and the measures taken in response.
Speaking to the media after the visit, Hamza reiterated that no words could ease the pain of the affected families.
“The entire nation is saddened by this tragic incident,” he said, adding that he had visited the hospital to share the grief of the affected parents, offer condolences and pray for them.
Hamza said efforts should be made to ensure that such incidents do not occur again.
“As a nation, we must realize our responsibility,” he said.
