The sibling actors were accompanied by actor Rachit Singh as they walked alongside students who have been camping at the protest site for several weeks. Protesters are calling for greater transparency in the education system and demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over allegations related to the examination process.
Videos widely shared on social media showed the actors arriving at approximately 2:13 a.m. Huma Qureshi, dressed in a black top and blue jeans, was seen interacting with protesters and greeting participants, while Saqib Saleem joined students during the march. Rachit Singh also remained with the group throughout the visit.
Their appearance quickly gained traction online, with many users praising the actors for expressing solidarity with students during the late-night demonstration. Supporters described the visit as a significant endorsement from the Indian film industry for a movement that has continued to attract national attention.
Huma Qureshi and Rachit Singh recently worked together on Baby Do Die Do, produced under the banner of Huma Qureshi and Saqib Saleem. Their appearance at the protest marked a notable reunion outside the film industry, this time in support of a public campaign.
The demonstrations, reportedly led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), have spread to multiple cities, with participants continuing to demand transparency and accountability regarding the alleged examination irregularities. Organisers say the protest will continue until their demands are addressed.
