The legendary PTV drama serial Alpha Bravo Charlie once again captured public attention after retired Pakistan Army officer Captain Abdullah Mehmud recalled one of the most dangerous moments from the iconic show during a recent public appearance.
Widely recognized for portraying the beloved character of Captain Kashif, Abdullah Mehmud shared memories from the unforgettable helicopter sequence that became one of the most talked-about scenes in Pakistani television history. The drama, produced by Inter-Services Public Relations and directed by Shoaib Mansoor, originally aired in 1998 and followed the lives of three young army officers — Kashif, Faraz, and Gulsher.
Speaking at the event, Captain Abdullah Mehmud was asked about the most memorable moment from the drama. Recalling the intense helicopter stunt scene, he said the experience was genuinely frightening.
“What I remember the most is the helicopter scene where I was hanging from the helicopter. When it went up, my heartbeat almost skipped,” he said while describing the terrifying moment. He added that after looking down at the mountains below, he realized the danger of the situation and thought that a fall from such height could have been fatal.
Despite the fear, the scene was completed successfully and later became one of the defining visuals of Alpha Bravo Charlie. Abdullah Mehmud expressed gratitude that everything went safely and ended his remarks with a message of patriotism, saying they would continue fighting for the motherland.
The resurfacing of Captain Kashif delighted longtime fans of the drama, many of whom grew up watching the serial on PTV. Social media users reacted emotionally after seeing the former actor and retired officer once again, praising his bravery and remembering the nostalgia attached to the classic military drama.
