Islamabad: The District and Sessions Court in Islamabad has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi and ordered his immediate arrest and presentation before the court.
Senior Civil Judge Abbas Shah was hearing the case against CM Afridi regarding his allegedly misleading allegations against state institutions, which were claimed to have harmed their reputation.
During the hearing, due to CM Afridi’s absence, the court issued the non-bailable warrant and instructed the authorities to ensure his arrest. The case has been adjourned until February 21.
The case against Sohail Afridi has been registered under the PECA Act by the National Counter-Cybercrime Investigation Agency (NCCIA).
