MAKKAH: Pakistan and Saudi Arabia reaffirmed their longstanding Islamic and diplomatic partnership during a high-level meeting between Pakistan’s Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, and Dr. Mohammad Al-Issa in the holy city of Makkah.
The meeting focused on a range of important regional and Islamic issues, reflecting the close cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia on matters affecting the Muslim world. Both leaders exchanged views on promoting unity, peace, and collaboration among Muslim nations.
During the discussions, Mohsin Naqvi praised the efforts of the Muslim World League in advancing Islamic awareness, encouraging interfaith understanding, and strengthening harmony among Muslim communities across the globe. He acknowledged the organization’s role in addressing challenges facing the Islamic world through dialogue and cooperation.
The interior minister also commended the Saudi authorities for the arrangements made for this year’s Hajj pilgrimage. He noted that the facilities, security measures, and services provided to pilgrims demonstrate Saudi Arabia’s continued dedication to serving Islam’s holiest sites and millions of worshippers who travel from around the world each year.
Expressing appreciation for the Kingdom’s efforts, Naqvi thanked the Saudi leadership for ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of pilgrims during the annual pilgrimage season. He said the successful management of Hajj reflects Saudi Arabia’s commitment to facilitating one of the most significant religious gatherings in the world.
The minister emphasized that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia share deep historical, religious, and strategic ties that have continued to strengthen over the years. He added that cooperation between the two countries remains vital for promoting stability and unity across the Muslim world.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of ongoing Hajj activities in Makkah, where officials, religious scholars, and dignitaries from numerous Muslim countries have gathered for the annual pilgrimage season.
