Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi highlights youth empowerment, business facilitation and investment in Pakistan’s growing information technology sector.
Federal Interior Minister Senator Mohsin Naqvi has called for greater opportunities for young people and improved facilities for businesses, saying their potential and contribution are essential to Pakistan’s economic and technological development.
Addressing an event at the American Centre of Excellence in Lahore, Naqvi said young people should be provided with the opportunities, resources and support needed to contribute to the country’s progress. He expressed confidence that the younger generation could play a significant role in national development if given the right environment.
The minister also urged Pakistanis to use their professional and personal connections for the country’s benefit. He said individuals should channel their networks, influence and expertise towards initiatives that support national progress.
Highlighting developments in the information technology sector, Naqvi said Pakistan’s IT industry had made considerable progress over the past two years. He emphasized the need to maintain this momentum by facilitating investors, supporting businesses and creating an environment conducive to further growth.
He said IT companies required greater attention and support to expand their operations and attract additional investment. According to the minister, removing obstacles faced by the business community and providing necessary facilities were among the government’s key responsibilities.
Naqvi also referred to his own professional experience, saying he had worked for American companies and understood the demanding nature of the information technology industry.
Explaining the challenges associated with the profession, he said working late at night and remaining awake for extended periods could become part of the daily routine for people employed in the sector.
“I know how difficult it is to stay awake at night and work,” he said, highlighting his understanding of the pressures faced by professionals in demanding industries.
The interior minister reiterated that facilitating the business community was a central responsibility of the government. He stressed that investors needed a supportive environment to expand their businesses and contribute to economic activity.
He said encouraging young talent, strengthening the IT sector and improving facilities for investors were important steps towards creating employment and business opportunities.
Naqvi’s remarks highlighted the importance of combining youth empowerment with business-friendly policies to support Pakistan’s economic and technological ambitions.
