Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu praises Pakistan Air Force performance during Marka-e-Haq anniversary ceremony, highlighting alleged operational success against India.
The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has been credited with a “historic and decisive” role in defending national sovereignty during a high-profile ceremony held at Air Headquarters to mark the first anniversary of “Marka-e-Haq,” according to statements made by Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu.
Addressing senior officers and personnel, the Air Chief praised what he described as the force’s operational excellence and strategic readiness, stating that the PAF had reinforced its position as a strong protective shield of Pakistan’s airspace.
He referenced a sequence of events that, according to his account, followed a false-flag incident in Pahalgam, after which India allegedly made “baseless accusations” against Pakistan. He said Pakistan had offered an impartial investigation, but India instead chose a path of escalation.
In response, Air Chief Marshal Sidhu claimed the PAF delivered a swift and forceful counteraction. He stated that Pakistani forces targeted designated installations and caused significant damage to what he described as enemy air defence infrastructure within a short span of time.
Expanding on the operational claims, he asserted that the PAF’s reach extended across a wide geographical corridor, from Srinagar to Bathinda, which he said resulted in major setbacks for the opposing side’s air capabilities. He further claimed that advanced enemy systems, including high-end fighter aircraft and an S-400 air defence system, were neutralised “within moments.”
The Air Chief also highlighted the evolving nature of modern warfare, pointing to cyber and electronic domains alongside traditional aerial combat. He specifically mentioned “Operation Bunyanun Marsus,” stating that it showcased the effective use of advanced drone technology and coordinated multi-domain capabilities.
Additionally, he credited Pakistan’s cyber units, referring to them as “cyber-kings,” for disrupting enemy digital infrastructure and strengthening overall operational dominance across air, electronic, and cyber fronts.
The remarks were delivered as part of the anniversary observance of Marka-e-Haq, which the Air Chief used as a platform to reflect on the PAF’s preparedness, technological advancement, and strategic deterrence posture.
