Pakistan intensifies preparations for the 9th OIC Ministerial Conference on Women, with Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar directing all institutions to finalize arrangements ahead of the July 12–13 gathering.
Pakistan has entered the final phase of preparations for the 9th Ministerial Conference on Women of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, as Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar chaired the sixth meeting of the high-level committee overseeing the event.
The meeting reviewed final arrangements, including the proposed conference program, agenda, protocol, security, administrative planning, media and communication strategy, inter-ministerial coordination, and other organizational matters.
Scheduled for July 12–13, 2026, the conference will bring together representatives from all 57 OIC member states in Pakistan. The event aims to strengthen cooperation among member countries in promoting women’s empowerment, inclusion, and sustainable development.
During the meeting, Ishaq Dar appreciated the progress made by the Ministry of Human Rights and instructed all relevant institutions to enhance coordination and complete the remaining preparations on schedule to ensure the conference is conducted smoothly.
