Petroleum Division announces revised fuel prices, with cuts of Rs1.70 per liter for petrol and Rs3.12 for high-speed diesel effective Sept. 23.
ISLAMABAD: The government has announced a reduction in the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel, with the revised rates taking effect from Sept. 23, 2026.
According to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the price of high-speed diesel has been reduced by Rs3.12 per liter. Following the reduction, the new price of high-speed diesel has been fixed at Rs418.96 per liter.
The government has also reduced the price of petrol by Rs1.70 per liter. The revised price of petrol now stands at Rs392.05 per liter.
The Petroleum Division said the new prices would come into effect from Sept. 23, 2026.
The latest adjustment applies to the two major petroleum products used across the country, with diesel primarily serving the transport, agriculture and industrial sectors, while petrol is widely used by private vehicles and motorcycles.
The announcement provides consumers and businesses with the revised rates applicable from Wednesday, Sept. 23.
