Four Judges Sworn In as Permanent Members of Peshawar High Court

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Four judges have formally joined the Peshawar High Court as permanent judges after taking oath before Chief Justice S.M. Attique Shah.

Four judges of the Peshawar High Court have formally taken oath as permanent judges, marking an important development in the province’s higher judiciary.

Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court, Justice S.M. Attique Shah, administered the oath to the newly appointed permanent judges at a ceremony held at the court.

Those taking the oath included Justice Farah Jamshed and Justice Sabitullah. Justice Inam Khan and Justice Aurangzeb Khan were also among the judges who assumed their responsibilities as permanent members of the high court.

The oath-taking ceremony marks the formal transition of the four judges into permanent judicial positions. Their inclusion is expected to contribute to the continued functioning of the Peshawar High Court and the disposal of cases pending before the provincial high court.

The appointment of permanent judges is significant for the judiciary as it strengthens the court’s bench and provides greater continuity in judicial proceedings. The newly sworn-in judges will now perform their judicial responsibilities in accordance with the Constitution and applicable laws.

The development comes as Pakistan’s superior judiciary continues to play a central role in deciding constitutional, civil, criminal and other important legal matters. The Peshawar High Court exercises jurisdiction over Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and handles a wide range of cases involving citizens, institutions and government authorities.
