Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says the party’s electoral success reflects public trust in PML-N’s leadership while reaffirming the federal government’s commitment to Azad Kashmir’s development.
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on its strong performance in the second phase of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) elections, calling the results a reflection of the public’s confidence in the party’s leadership and policies.
In a statement issued on Monday, the prime minister extended his congratulations to PML-N President Nawaz Sharif and all successful party candidates for their victories. He praised the party’s election campaign and credited its success to the dedication and hard work of Nawaz Sharif and the entire PML-N leadership.
Shehbaz Sharif said the campaign in Azad Jammu and Kashmir was conducted effectively under Nawaz Sharif’s leadership, adding that the election outcome demonstrated voters’ trust in the party’s vision and governance agenda.
The prime minister reaffirmed that the development of Azad Kashmir and the welfare of its people remain among the federal government’s highest priorities. He said efforts would continue to improve public services, strengthen infrastructure, and support long-term development initiatives across the region.
Shehbaz Sharif also acknowledged the participation of various political parties in the second phase of the elections, describing the voting process as an important democratic exercise. He said peaceful political participation strengthens democratic institutions and reflects the public’s commitment to the electoral process.
