Protests Erupt in Risalpur Over Prolonged Unannounced Power Outages

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Demonstrators demand immediate government action and a clear load shedding schedule amid rising temperatures

Residents in Risalpur and its adjoining areas staged a strong protest on Friday against prolonged and unannounced power outages, bringing daily life to a standstill amid intense heat.

According to details, people from areas including Hassan Abad, Sohbat Abad, Zarin Abad, and Zando Banda gathered in Risalpur Bazaar after Friday prayers to protest against extended electricity outages linked to the New Bara Banda feeder. Protesters described the situation as unbearable, particularly during extreme weather conditions.

The demonstrators expressed frustration over frequent and unscheduled power cuts, stating that the electricity crisis has severely affected routine life and business activities. They urged authorities to take immediate notice and provide relief to the public.

Addressing the gathering, former Cantonment Board chairman Sajid Mashwani and former Village Council Nazim Zubair Khan criticized the ongoing situation, saying that unannounced load shedding has made life increasingly difficult for residents. They added that the surge in outages with rising temperatures reflects poor governance and administrative failure.

Speakers also alleged that the government is failing to manage both inflation and the power crisis simultaneously, further aggravating public hardships.

The protest leaders warned that if the issue is not resolved promptly, the scope of demonstrations will be expanded. They demanded that authorities issue a transparent load shedding schedule for the New Bara Banda feeder and immediately end unnecessary outages.
