Viewers slam the tragic ending of Muamma, calling it “wasted potential” while applauding standout performances.
The much-anticipated finale of Muamma aired on Hum TV, but instead of delivering closure, it ignited a wave of disappointment among viewers who had closely followed the drama’s intense storyline.
In a dramatic climax, Jahan Aara’s journey came to a tragic end when she was killed by her ex-husband Sarmad. The shocking twist unfolded after Sarfaraz conspired against her sister, setting the stage for a finale many fans described as unnecessarily bleak. Meanwhile, Shahjahan quietly exited Jiji’s house, returning the keys and closing his chapter in the story.
The ending, however, failed to resonate with audiences. Social media platforms were flooded with criticism, with many viewers expressing frustration over what they called a “pointless tragedy.” Fans argued that Jahan Aara, who endured continuous hardship throughout the series, deserved a more empowering conclusion.
One viewer wrote that the ending was “unexpected and awful,” highlighting that the character had suffered enough. Another questioned why the writers chose to kill her, suggesting she could have been portrayed as a strong, independent woman instead. Several comments echoed similar sentiments, accusing the drama of losing direction in its final moments.
Despite the backlash, one aspect remained universally praised: the performance of Saba Qamar. Her portrayal of Jahan Aara was widely described as powerful and emotionally gripping. Fans credited her for elevating the drama, with many insisting she deserves major recognition for her role.
Some viewers also pointed out loose ends in the storyline, particularly the lack of closure for Sarfaraz’s character. While Sarmad faced consequences, audiences felt the narrative was incomplete without addressing all key arcs.
As the dust settles, Muamma stands as a classic example of a drama that captivated audiences throughout its run but faltered at the finish line. The strong performances and compelling build-up were ultimately overshadowed by an ending that left viewers more frustrated than fulfilled.
