WASHINGTON: U.S.President Donald Trump has issued a stern warning to Iran stating that a clear outcome regarding the country’s nuclear ambitions will be known within ten days. Speaking at the inaugural meeting of the Gaza Peace Board Trump emphasized that Iran will not be allowed to possess nuclear weapons asserting that regional peace in the Middle East is impossible if Tehran retains such capabilities.
Trump added that meaningful dialogue is ongoing with Iran, and a formal agreement is sought. Iran must negotiate or the consequences will be severe he warned.
Addressing the Gaza issue the president highlighted ongoing reconstruction and stability efforts. He stated that over $7 billion has already been pledged with the U.S. committing an additional $10 billion. Under agreements with Hamas, the group is expected to surrender its weapons, ensuring that Gaza will no longer serve as a hub of extremism or terrorism.
The first Gaza Peace Board meeting saw participation from global leaders with Pakistan represented by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Prior to the session Trump engaged with attendees exchanging remarks with the Pakistani premier. The forum underscores international cooperation for Gaza’s reconstruction stability and long term peace.
