District Sports Officer Ehsanullah Khan reviews the condition of Wana Sports Complex and assures players of urgent measures for renovation and restoration.
WANA: District Sports Officer for Lower South Waziristan Ehsanullah Khan has taken notice of the poor condition of Wana Sports Complex and assured players that effective measures will be taken to improve and restore its facilities.
Ehsanullah Khan conducted a detailed visit to the sports complex, inspecting facilities for different sports, grounds, rooms and other basic infrastructure. During the visit, he expressed concern over the overall condition of the complex, which he found unsatisfactory.
Players present at the complex briefed the district sports officer on the difficulties they face. They said the rooms and facilities designated for sports activities were in poor condition, creating problems for athletes. They called for urgent repair work, improved cleanliness and the provision of basic facilities.
Ehsanullah Khan listened to the players’ concerns and reviewed the relevant issues on the spot. He assured them that the deteriorating condition of the sports complex would be brought to the attention of senior authorities on an emergency basis.
He further assured the players that effective steps would be taken for the complete renovation, improvement and restoration of the complex.
The district sports officer said providing young people in Lower South Waziristan with better opportunities and quality sports facilities was among the priorities of the Sports Department. He stressed the importance of promoting sports activities, encouraging athletes and creating a suitable environment for young people.
He said all available resources would be utilized to improve the condition of Wana Sports Complex and provide athletes with better facilities.
Ehsanullah Khan also said Lower South Waziristan had significant sporting talent among its youth. With appropriate facilities, guidance and opportunities, he said, local athletes could showcase their abilities at provincial and national levels.
The players thanked the district sports officer for taking notice of their concerns and assuring them of immediate measures. They expressed hope that practical steps would be taken under his leadership to promote sports in Lower South Waziristan and revive neglected sports grounds, providing young people with better opportunities to develop their skills.
