Member of the National Assembly Sher Afzal Marwat has made strong remarks regarding the internal situation of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) claiming that access to party founder Imran Khan is limited to his sisters, which he suggested has affected efforts for his release from jail.
Speaking to media in Dera Ismail Khan, Marwat criticized the current party leadership, stating that they neither perform effectively nor allow others to contribute. He emphasized that the party would need to persuade Ali Amin Gandapur to return to a more active role, alleging that earlier accusations were used to sideline him.
Marwat also expressed dissatisfaction with the current leadership in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, questioning the capabilities of the sitting chief minister and pointing out delays in forming a complete cabinet even after several months in office.
He further commented on the issue of alleged establishment contacts, arguing that such connections are common among political leaders and accusing critics of applying double standards.
Marwat concluded that unless leaders like Ali Amin Gandapur and Barrister Gohar Ali Khan are brought forward, the party may struggle to move ahead effectively.
