India’s public figures, analysts, and commentators have acknowledged Pakistan’s diplomatic role in securing the recent US-Iran ceasefire, calling it a significant step toward regional peace.
The two-week ceasefire, reportedly facilitated through Pakistan’s efforts, has been widely welcomed globally. On social media platform X, the hashtag #PakGlobalPeaceMaker trended, with many Indian users openly appreciating Pakistan’s contribution.
Indian academic Ashok Swain described the development as a win for Iran and a diplomatic achievement for Pakistan, noting that attempts to isolate Pakistan internationally appear to have backfired. Defense analyst Pravin Sawhney also praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his leadership.
Writer Atul Khatri thanked Pakistan for mediating peace, admitting it was unexpected for him to publicly support the country. Similarly, author Jayant Bhandari commended Pakistan for demonstrating effective leadership.
Defense expert Abhijit Iyer-Mitra congratulated both Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief Asim Munir, highlighting Pakistan’s ability to combine diplomatic skill with strategic risk-taking.
