Senior officials from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, and Egypt outline a framework for enhanced cooperation ahead of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan hosted senior officials from Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and Egypt this week in a high-level meeting aimed at strengthening regional cooperation and economic integration, officials said Wednesday.
The Senior Officials’ Meeting in Islamabad brought together diplomatic representatives to review shared priorities and coordinate responses to evolving geopolitical and economic challenges.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar met the visiting delegations and called for a shift from traditional diplomacy toward a structured framework of cooperation anchored in peace, prosperity and sustainable development.
Officials said the four countries discussed ways to align strategic objectives and improve coordination across political, economic and security domains.
The engagement is part of a broader effort to institutionalize multilateral dialogue among key regional partners.
The Islamabad meeting builds on the Consultative Meeting of Foreign Ministers held March 29, 2026, which established groundwork for continued engagement among the participating states.
Participants also prepared for the next stage of discussions scheduled for April 17 in Antalya, Türkiye, on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
That session is expected to further refine joint strategies and reinforce collaborative mechanisms.
Analysts say the emerging quadrilateral framework reflects growing interest in structured regional diplomacy focused on stability and economic resilience amid global uncertainty.
Officials emphasized that the initiative remains exploratory but signals momentum toward deeper institutional cooperation among Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and Egypt.
They reiterated commitment to dialogue and coordination aimed at promoting long-term peace, regional stability, and sustainable economic growth efforts continued.
