Mohammad Rizwan Takes Responsibility After Rawalpindi’s Seventh Consecutive Defeat

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Rawalpindi Kings captain Mohammad Rizwan has taken full responsibility after his team suffered a seventh consecutive defeat in the HBL PSL 11 and were officially knocked out of the playoff race.

Speaking at a post-match press conference after a 32-run loss to Lahore Qalandars, Rizwan admitted that his own performance had not been up to the mark. “If the results are like this, it is because of my shortcomings. I accept responsibility,” he said.

Rizwan, who opened the innings with a young partner, noted that team decisions are always made collectively. “I have my preferences regarding batting position, but ultimately it is a team decision,” he added.

He said that despite repeated losses, there were still some positive aspects within the squad. “When you keep losing, it becomes difficult to stay positive, but there are still things we can build on,” he remarked, adding that sometimes performances are affected by lack of luck despite no major visible flaws in the team.

The skipper emphasized that leadership should not be judged only by results. “As a captain you try your best, but if mistakes happen, there is little you can do,” he said.

Rizwan further stated that he had previously acknowledged his form issues and still believes in hard work. “Cricket is my passion. I will work hard and come back stronger,” he said, calling this phase the most difficult of his career.

Lahore Qalandars posted 210/4, while Rawalpindi managed 178/9 in 20 overs.
