Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Senior officials, civil administration, and security leaders unite to honor injured police officers and reaffirm commitment to counter-terrorism and national stability

At a solemn and dignified Ghazian Police Tribute Ceremony Dera Ismail Khan, held at Police Lines on Saturday, senior civil and military officials gathered to honor the extraordinary sacrifices of police officers injured in the line of duty while fighting terrorism and maintaining law and order in the region.

The ceremony brought together a wide spectrum of leadership including Regional Police Officer (RPO) Dera Ismail Khan Ghulam Mubashar Maken, Commissioner Dera Division Dawood Khan, Station Commander Brigadier Muhammad Abubakar, District Police Officer (DPO) Ziauddin Ahmed, along with officers of the police force, representatives of civil administration, and personnel from other law enforcement agencies. The presence of Ghazian police officers—those who survived life-altering injuries in operational duty—added deep emotional weight to the occasion.

The event began with a visit to the Martyrs’ Memorial at Police Lines, where participants offered Fateha for the elevated ranks of fallen heroes and laid floral wreaths as a mark of respect. The atmosphere reflected both grief and pride, acknowledging the heavy price paid by law enforcement in the fight against militancy.

Speaking on the occasion, DPO Ziauddin Ahmed highlighted the resilience and unwavering commitment of Ghazian officers. He said these individuals had directly confronted extremist threats, foiling hostile plans and contributing significantly to restoring peace in the region. He emphasized that despite severe physical injuries, many of these officers continue to serve with dedication, setting a powerful example of duty beyond personal limitation. He further expressed gratitude to the force and said the nation remains indebted to their sacrifices.

RPO Ghulam Mubashar Maken, addressing the gathering, described the Ghazian police as symbols of courage and endurance. He stated that the entire state of Pakistan recognizes their sacrifices, calling them a living testament to bravery in the face of terrorism. He stressed that their injuries were not marks of defeat but badges of honor earned in defense of national security.

He further emphasized that effective policing and counter-terrorism efforts require unity between the public and law enforcement agencies. According to him, terrorism cannot be eliminated without strong community cooperation, timely intelligence sharing, and collective responsibility. He urged citizens to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the police to ensure lasting peace in the region.

The RPO also announced that recommendations regarding welfare packages for Ghazian police officers have been forwarded to Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed. These proposals aim to strengthen institutional support, improve medical care, and enhance long-term financial security for injured personnel and their families.

Station Commander Brigadier Muhammad Abubakar delivered a strong message of national unity and resilience. He paid tribute to the Ghazian officers, calling them the pride of the nation. He stated that Pakistan has survived numerous challenges and conspiracies due to the sacrifices of its armed forces and law enforcement agencies. He warned against divisive elements, stating that internal fragmentation remains the primary strategy of adversaries who seek to weaken the country from within.

He further remarked that those who stand against extremist groups are true defenders of the homeland. He emphasized that the fight against militancy must continue until complete stability is achieved, and no compromise can be made in safeguarding national sovereignty.

Commissioner Dawood Khan, concluding the ceremony, praised the Ghazian officers for their unmatched courage. He stated that their sacrifices will be remembered in golden words in the history of the region. He acknowledged that despite losing physical abilities, these officers continue to display unwavering loyalty to their profession and the nation.

He stressed the importance of coordinated efforts among civil administration, police, security forces, and the public to eliminate terrorism. According to him, timely information from citizens plays a crucial role in preventing security threats and ensuring rapid response to potential risks.

During the event, RPO Ghulam Mubashar Maken personally met each Ghazian officer, listened to their concerns, and issued on-the-spot instructions for resolution of their issues. This gesture was widely appreciated as a reflection of institutional empathy and leadership commitment.

The ceremony concluded with renewed pledges of unity, resilience, and continued cooperation between law enforcement agencies and the public. Officials reiterated that the sacrifices of Ghazian police officers will not go unnoticed and that their welfare remains a top priority for the state.

As security challenges continue to evolve in the region, such events reinforce institutional morale and serve as a reminder of the human cost behind maintaining peace. The Ghazian Police Tribute Ceremony stood as a powerful acknowledgment of courage, sacrifice, and unwavering service to the nation.
