RAWALPINDI: A deeply solemn atmosphere gripped General Headquarters (General Headquarters (GHQ) Pakistan) on Saturday as Pakistan’s top military leadership gathered to mark the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq, a commemoration honoring fallen soldiers and reaffirming national resolve.
The ceremony carried an emotional tone from the outset, as senior commanders visited the Martyrs’ Memorial (Yadgar-e-Shuhada). Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu and Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf laid floral wreaths and offered Fateha for the personnel who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir also paid tribute at the memorial, joined by senior officers, military veterans, and families of martyrs. The presence of grieving families added a powerful emotional layer to the proceedings, as patriotic anthems echoed through the venue.
