Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited Pakistani Hajj camps in Mina to personally inspect facilities and review arrangements being provided to Pakistani pilgrims during the annual Hajj pilgrimage.
During the visit, Naqvi toured several camps and interacted directly with pilgrims to assess the quality of accommodation, food services, and overall facilities. Officials said the purpose of the visit was to evaluate on-ground arrangements and ensure that pilgrims were receiving proper support and assistance throughout their stay.
The interior minister also met elderly pilgrims, including a 100-year-old Haji, and inquired about their wellbeing. He assured pilgrims that the government remained committed to ensuring their comfort, safety, and convenience during the holy pilgrimage.
Naqvi held detailed conversations with pilgrims regarding lodging standards, catering arrangements, and camp management. Several pilgrims acknowledged facing certain difficulties but appreciated the cooperation and responsiveness of staff members deployed at the camps.
He praised the efforts of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and specifically commended Federal Minister Sardar Muhammad Yousaf and his team for overseeing arrangements for Pakistani pilgrims during Hajj.
The minister reiterated that officials and support staff were available around the clock to address complaints and resolve operational issues faced by pilgrims in Mina and other Hajj locations.
Naqvi also highlighted improvements in immigration facilitation for Pakistani pilgrims this year, saying the process had become smoother due to measures introduced by Saudi authorities. He thanked Mohammed bin Salman and the Saudi Ministry of Hajj for their cooperation and special support in enhancing services for Pakistani pilgrims.
The visit comes as thousands of Pakistani pilgrims continue to perform Hajj rituals in Saudi Arabia under enhanced monitoring and support arrangements aimed at improving the overall pilgrimage experience.
