Tom Holland returns as Spider-Man in Marvel’s highly anticipated Phase Six adventure, featuring a fresh storyline, record-breaking trailer views, and unprecedented advance ticket sales.
The highly anticipated fourth Marvel Cinematic Universe Spider-Man film, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, is set to arrive in U.S. theaters on July 31, launching a fresh era for Peter Parker after the emotional ending of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film follows Peter Parker as he continues protecting New York City after the world forgets his identity because of Doctor Strange‘s memory-erasing spell. Living anonymously, Parker embraces his role as a full-time superhero while investigating a mysterious new threat and confronting a surprising evolution of his powers.
The movie brings back Tom Holland as Spider-Man alongside Zendaya and Jacob Batalon. The cast also includes Sadie Sink, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando, and Mark Ruffalo.
Produced by Columbia Pictures, Marvel Studios, and Pascal Pictures, the film is the 38th installment in the MCU and the fourth Spider-Man movie led by Holland.
Excitement surrounding the release continues to grow. According to WaveMetrix, the film’s second trailer attracted 590.8 million views during its first week, becoming the second-largest trailer launch in history. Its first trailer previously set a record by surpassing one billion views in just four days.
Meanwhile, Sony Pictures reported that advance ticket sales achieved the company’s strongest first-day performance for any film in the past five years, matching the extraordinary demand seen for Spider-Man: No Way Home.
