Pakistan Breaks All Records as Seafood Exports Soar to Historic $568 Million

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Reforms under Pakistan’s Blue Economy initiative drive record seafood exports, with frozen fish leading shipments to major global markets.

Pakistan’s seafood exports have reached an all-time high of $568 million, marking a major milestone for the country’s maritime economy and export sector.

Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry credited the achievement to reforms introduced under the Blue Economy initiative, saying the measures strengthened Pakistan’s marine sector, improved quality standards and created greater opportunities in international markets.

Frozen fish remained the country’s leading seafood export, with China, Japan, Saudi Arabia and the United States among the largest buyers. Pakistani seafood also reached several other overseas markets, reflecting growing global demand.

The minister said the record-breaking performance was achieved despite regional economic and trade challenges. He praised the Marine Fisheries Department for ensuring compliance with international quality requirements, helping Pakistani seafood remain competitive worldwide.

Junaid Anwar Chaudhry also acknowledged the contributions of Dr. Mansoor Wassan and his team, saying their efforts played an important role in the sector’s continued growth.
