The intimate wedding marks a major new chapter for the couple after nearly a decade together.
The 41-year-old Portuguese footballer and 32-year-old Rodríguez reportedly celebrated the occasion with their family and close circle. Ronaldo also shared a glimpse of the wedding on social media, showing the couple’s hands and their wedding rings, prompting an immediate wave of congratulatory messages from fans around the world.
Rodríguez announced the couple’s engagement on Aug. 11, 2025, sharing a photograph of her engagement ring. Exactly a year later, the pair completed their journey to marriage with the private ceremony in Portugal.
Ronaldo and Rodríguez first met in 2016 while Rodríguez was working as a sales assistant at a Gucci store in Madrid. Their relationship became public in the following year, when they appeared together at The Best FIFA Football Awards.
Family has remained central to their relationship. The couple have two daughters together, Alana Martina and Bella Esmeralda, while Ronaldo is also father to Cristiano Jr. and twins Eva and Mateo. In 2022, the family suffered the heartbreaking loss of Bella’s twin brother, Ángel, shortly after his birth.
