Samsung’s new Galaxy A08 features a 6,000mAh battery, 50MP camera, LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB internal storage.
Samsung has officially revealed the Galaxy A08, a new budget smartphone that succeeds the Galaxy A07 with a larger battery and several upgraded specifications.
The company has listed the device on its regional websites, confirming its design, key specifications and color options. The Galaxy A08 comes with a 6,000mAh battery, LPDDR5X RAM and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The smartphone features a 6.7-inch PLS LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1,600 pixels. For photography, it has a dual-camera setup on the rear consisting of a 50-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel secondary camera. An 8-megapixel front camera is available for selfies and video calls.
One of the biggest upgrades is the battery. The Galaxy A08 packs a 6,000mAh battery, compared with the 5,000mAh battery in the Galaxy A07.
Samsung has also confirmed LPDDR5X RAM for the new device, although it has not yet disclosed the exact chipset powering the smartphone.
The Galaxy A08 will be available with 64GB, 128GB and 256GB of internal storage. Storage can also be expanded through a microSD card, with support for cards of up to 2TB.
In terms of connectivity, the device supports 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.3. Samsung has retained the 3.5mm headphone jack, allowing users to connect wired headphones without requiring an adapter.
The smartphone also carries an IP64 rating for protection against dust and water splashes. It measures 8mm thick and weighs 197 grams.
Samsung will offer the Galaxy A08 in Green, Dark Blue and Silver color options.

Samsung has not officially disclosed the Galaxy A08’s price on its regional websites. However, a Virgin Megastore UAE listing shows the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant at AED 625, equivalent to approximately $170.
