PM Shehbaz Sharif condemns the attempted drone attack on a sacred site in Makkah and reaffirms Pakistan’s support for Saudi Arabia.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned what he described as a vile and heinous attempt to target a sacred site in Makkah with a drone attack, expressing grief and concern over the incident.
In a post on X, Shehbaz Sharif said the people of Pakistan were deeply saddened and concerned by what he called an outrageous and unforgivable act.

“There are no words sufficient to express the depth of pain and sorrow we feel toward this unforgivable and shameful deed,” the prime minister said.
He also praised the Royal Saudi Armed Forces for their response, saluting what he described as their exceptional vigilance, courage and high professionalism.
“We salute the exceptional vigilance, courage, and high professionalism of the Royal Saudi Armed Forces for their swift and heroic response,” Shehbaz Sharif said.
The prime minister renewed his call for all parties to exercise maximum restraint and avoid further escalation, warning that the region had already suffered heavily from conflicts.
“Our region has already suffered far too much from conflicts,” he said, emphasizing dialogue and diplomacy as the only sustainable path toward peace.
Shehbaz Sharif further reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, saying Islamabad stood “steadfastly, shoulder to shoulder” with the brotherly kingdom in defending its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
He also underscored Pakistan’s commitment to the security and sanctity of the Two Holy Mosques in Makkah and Madinah.
The prime minister said the Two Holy Mosques hold a deeply sacred place in the hearts of Pakistanis, describing their security and sanctity as a sacred trust.
