ISLAMABAD: The NA 47 constituency of Islamabad has been a focal point for urban and rural development over the past two years. Under the supervision of Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry federal agencies, including the CDA and related departments undertook numerous projects aimed at improving infrastructure utility services and connectivity between rural areas and the city.
Road construction and maintenance were a priority with several link roads inner streets and drainage systems upgraded to reduce flooding issues during rains.The Bara Kahoo bypass and traffic management projects eased congestion and enhanced mobility between urban and rural areas.
Utility services were also expanded. Sui gas pipelines were extended new water supply schemes introduced, and sewerage lines repaired in both rural and urban areas. Street level infrastructure street lights, and transformer upgrades were completed to improve daily living conditions.
Key city projects included the widening of Park Road, improvements on Jinnah Avenue, the F8 interchange and the Rawat flyover. To address Islamabad’s water needs the Charah Dam project is scheduled to commence soon.
Overall, the development strategy in NA-47 focused on providing basic services enhancing connectivity and improving the city’s aesthetic appeal.Officials emphasized that these efforts align with Pakistan’s broader vision of sustained progress under effective leadership.
