South Waziristan School Destroyed in Explosive Attack: No Casualties

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Explosion Destroys Government Middle School in Azam Warsak, South Waziristan

WANA: Unknown armed assailants late Tuesday night detonated explosives at the Government Middle School in Sharif Khan Kot, Azam Warsak, in Lower South Waziristan’s Barmal Tehsil, causing extensive damage to the building.

District Police Officer Mohammad Tahir Shah Waziri said the blast destroyed two classrooms, bathrooms, the main gate, and one side wall of the school. The explosion was so powerful that it was reportedly heard from distant areas.

Police sources confirmed that nearby homes were also affected, sustaining partial damage to walls, windows, and installed solar panels. Initial reports indicate that fortunately, there were no casualties. Authorities have launched a full investigation into the incident.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi strongly condemned the attack on the educational institution. In his statement, he said that targeting schools in South Waziristan is an attack against knowledge, development, and the future generation. He added that the nation stands united with the state and its institutions against extremist elements and the malicious designs of groups such as Kharijites and Fitna-e-Hindustan.

Governor Kundi emphasized that such cowardly acts will not dampen the nation’s resolve but will instead strengthen national unity against terrorism.
