According to Arab media reports, the death toll in Iran has risen sharply after U.S. and Israeli strikes, with Tehran claiming up to 1,230 people have been killed so far in the conflict triggered by joint military attacks.
In addition to heavy casualties in Iran, ongoing hostilities have also spread to neighboring regions. Israeli operations in Lebanon have reportedly killed at least 77 people as the wider conflict continues to intensify.
Iran has carried out multiple retaliatory attacks against U.S. and Israeli targets across the Gulf. In the United Arab Emirates three civilians were reportedly killed in Iranian strikes, while in Bahrain a missile interception caused a fire that claimed one life. Reports also indicate that four people, including two Kuwaiti soldiers were killed in Iranian attacks in Kuwait and one person died from a projectile strike on a tanker at an Omani port. Tehran’s counter offensive has involved missiles and drones targeting bases and installations linked to U.S. forces, adding to mounting regional tensions. Casualty figures vary but the conflict has rapidly evolved into a broader confrontation affecting multiple countries in the Middle East.
