NDMA issues weather outlook for Pakistan from 6 to 11 March 2026

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

In the Potohar region including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum and Mianwali, cloudy weather with chances of light rain is expected from 9 to 11 March.

Most areas of Balochistan are expected to remain dry and warm, while northern districts including Quetta, Zhob, Ziarat and Kalat may receive light rain and cloudy weather from 7 to 9 March.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, dry weather and increasing heat intensity are expected, although light rain may occur in several districts including Chitral, Dir, Haripur, Karak, Kohat, Mansehra, Peshawar, Abbottabad, Bannu and Swabi.

Across Sindh, weather is expected to remain dry with daytime temperatures likely to stay above normal.

Meanwhile, parts of Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir may experience light rain and partly cloudy weather during this period, particularly in areas such as Gilgit, Skardu, Hunza, Astore and Muzaffarabad.

The advisory warns that the expected dry weather and unusual rise in temperatures may affect crops. Farmers are advised to ensure proper irrigation to protect their crops.
